What is a Plasma Cutter used for?

Plasma cutting is frequently used in fabrication workshops, automotive maintenance and restoration, industrial development, and recycling operations.

What Cannot be Cut with Plasma Cutter?

Plasma cutting machines are limited in their ability to cut through materials that are not metallic, including wood, plastic, concrete, or glass. Additionally, they are ineffective in cutting through coated metals like galvanized steel or metals with powder coatings.

Do you need Gas for a Plasma Cutter?

A plasma cutter requires gas to generate and sustain the plasma needed for cutting. Oxygen, nitrogen, and argon are among the commonly used gases for this purpose. Certain plasma cutter systems offer multi-gas capabilities, allowing for the use of different gases to suit various applications.

Are Plasma Cutters better than Laser Cutters?

Plasma cutters can make super accurate cuts in thin to medium materials, which makes them plasma more efficient and versatile tool than laser cutters.
