How to use Multi-Stage Acetylene Gas Regulator:
- Before starting, wear appropriate safety gear and check that the acetylene cylinder is upright and secured.
- Connect the regulator to the acetylene cylinder valve, tightening it with a suitable wrench, ensuring a secure but not overtightened connection.
- Ensure the regulator’s pressure adjustment knob is turned counterclockwise to the off position, and both the cylinder valve and torch valve are closed.
- Slowly open the acetylene cylinder valve to allow gas into the regulator.
- Turn the regulator adjustment knob clockwise to set the desired working pressure. The first stage reduces the high pressure from the cylinder to an intermediate level, while the second stage provides precise control over the output pressure.
- Monitor the regulator’s pressure gauges to ensure the settings are correct for your application.
- Open the torch valve slightly to purge the line of any air, then adjust the flame as needed for your task.
- After use, close the cylinder valve first, then bleed the gas from the lines by opening the torch valve. Finally, turn the regulator adjustment knob counterclockwise to release any remaining pressure.
