41V33 Short Back Cap (Single)

Designed to create a seal that prevents unwanted air from entering the back of the TIG torch when welding, these Back Caps are available in a range of sizes and specifications to suit your needs. Depending on the product selected, the caps can be used for either WP9 and WP20 torches, or WP17, WP18 and WP26.

Short back caps provide more access to welding joints in tight spaces than medium or long back caps. Also known as button back caps, they cover the back portion of the electrode on a TIG torch to prevent the tungsten electrode from shorting out during welding. They also put pressure on the collet to keep the electrode in place in the collet and create a seal that prevents shielding gas from leaking out the back of the torch.
