 Components

  1. Ruler Blade: The main ruler, which typically has both metric and imperial measurements.
  2. Square Head: Used for measuring and marking 90-degree and 45-degree angles.
  3. Protractor Head: For measuring and marking angles other than 90 and 45 degrees.
  4. Center Head: Used for finding the center of round objects.

 General Setup

  1. Assemble the Tool: Slide the ruler blade through the slot in the square head, protractor head, or center head, depending on the task.
  2. Lock in Place: Tighten the locking nut or screw to secure the head in the desired position on the ruler blade.

Using the Square Head

– Check the squareness of corners and edges by ensuring the blade aligns perfectly with the edge.

  1. 45-Degree Marking and Checking:

– Position the 45-degree angle of the square head against the edge of the workpiece.

– Draw a 45-degree line across the workpiece.

– Check the accuracy of 45-degree cuts or edges.

 Using the Protractor Head

  1. Measuring Angles:

– Slide the protractor head along the ruler blade to the desired angle.

– Lock it in place.

– Place the protractor head against the edge of the workpiece.

– Use the ruler blade to mark the angle on the workpiece.

  1. Transferring Angles:

– Set the protractor head to the angle you need to replicate.

– Use it to transfer the angle onto another workpiece.

Using the Center Head

  1. Finding the Center of Round Objects:

– Place the center head on the round object with the ruler blade extending across the diameter.

– Mark a line along the ruler blade.

– Rotate the center head 90 degrees and mark another line.

– The intersection of the two lines is the center of the round object.

 Additional Tips

– Depth and Height Measurements: Use the ruler blade to measure the depth of holes or the height of objects by adjusting the head to the required position.
