This is a good quality ESAB 200 Amp crocodile type electrode holder – one of the most common electrode holders types in use and this is usually the type of rod holder that would be supplied with your new MMA welder.
Probably not the same quality as the ESAB version however.  This ESAB electrode holder has a good strong spring to ensure the electrode is gripped securely at all times.

Should you not get on with the “crocodile” type of electrode holder we would recommend the Twist type or the Myking type electrode holders, these will generally last longer than the low cost rod holders.

This ESAB electrode holder is rated for a maximum of 200A.
The duty rating marked on this electrode holder is 60% @ 150Amps i.e. may be used continuously for 6 minutes at 150A welding current out of a 10 minute cycle.
