TECMEN PAPR FREFLOW SPARK PROTECTION

When welding, sparks and spatter can be generated which can be harmful to both the welder and the welding equipment. In the case of a PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) system, sparks and spatter can also damage the pre-filter and main filter. Which can reduce the effectiveness of the air filtration system.

To prevent this, you can use the spark protection screens to protect the pre-filter and main filter from welding spatter and sparks. Makers have made these screens typically of metal or other heat-resistant materials.  They capture any sparks or spatter that may come into contact with them. By capturing these particles before they can enter the air filtration system, the spark protection screens help to extend the life of the pre-filter and main filter and ensure that the PAPR system continues to function effectively.

Tecmen had fitted the protectors inside the filter cover. You should check them regularly to make sure they are clean and intact.

These replacement parts are for use with Tecmen V1 and V3 PAPR blower units.
